Unexpected Romance

The Rosie Project
Graeme Simsion’s debut novel, “The Rosie Project” is a real treat.  The characters are quirky and endearing. The writing is crisp and wry.  I found myself laughing out loud throughout the book.

Don Tillman is a genetics professor with, most likely, Asperger’s Syndrome.  He is brilliant, but has few social skills.  When he decides it is time to find a wife he creates the Wife Project, which details all the qualities he is looking for as well as those he despises.  Enter Rosie, a vivacious, quirky woman who is searching for her biological father.  Don quickly disqualifies her as a candidate for the Wife Project, but as a geneticist, he collaborates with her on the Father Project.  As the two team up to search for her father they quickly become friends.  Rosie’s strong personality turns Don’s world upside down and it will never be the same.

A lovely, romantic comedy that is very much worth the read!
